Kate Williams is a Yorkshire-based writer and speaker. She lives with her magic man, Rod, and their seven-year-old daughter, Chloe, who rocks her extra chromosome. Her happy place is when she’s writing in a coffee shop, typing away with a one-shot latte and a caramel shortbread.
Kate loves to write about life as a Christian and does so in a quirky and humorous way.
When she was 18, Kate did a diploma in biblical studies at Tilsely College in Scotland, then later went on to achieve a Masters degree in ‘Leadership, Renewal and Mission’ with Cliff College.
Kate loves to read, learn, and study as well as being a ‘goal geek’, a knitter, and a lover of lists. She also has a mild obsession with bin day. Wild times!
Kate enjoys speaking at various church events, sharing thoughts that encourage, challenge, and inspire listeners in their faith journey.
Over the last five years, Kate has been learning British Sign Language and currently works at a sixth-form college as a communication support worker for deaf students.
Kate enjoys writing devotional plans for the Youversion Bible app. Links to all of these can be found on the ‘bible plans’ page.
The two books she has written so far are called – ‘When God ‘Buts’ In – Finding Strength to Face the Impossible’ and ‘Yule Never Walk Alone – 25 Festive Reflections’.
Kate writes and speaks with honesty, humour, and hope, aiming to bring the truth of the bible to life in a real and relatable way.
